Lunging and work in hand

We are happy to accommodate people who want to work their horses in-hand. To do so, we will close the course to other users for safety. Please ring Tanya on 07541032398 to discuss your requirements. Please note that horses being lunged MUST be in a bridle and under control.Handlers should wear gloves and a correct hard hat.

No horses/ponies can be led around the course as companion sunless you have discussed this with us first.

Dogs

Here at Comphurst we love dogs. However, in the past I have picked up several dog 'poo bags' that irresponsible owners have placed under jumps, found dog mess on the course and have witnessed a loose dog in the middle of Comphurst Field, as well as a loose dog in the car park. None of these are acceptable. If people cannot behave responsibly regarding dogs we will have to ban them. Dogs must be on SHORT LEADS AT ALL TIMES. NO EXTENDING LEADS; these are simply dangerous around horses.

Spectators, Children and Dogs; Health and Safety Policy

Non-riding children are welcome if they are under the direct supervision of a non-riding adult. We also insist that it is a condition of using the facilities at Comphurst Farm that all spectators watch at a safe distance from the horses using the facilities. Dogs are welcome if they are on short leads at all times and their owners must clear up after them.
